Stem group by James Patterson

For year 3/4 in room 22 is a stem group. In the stem group we do things like holding marshmallows on hard spaghetti or seeing who can make the longest paper chain. Stem stands for science technology engineering maths.

It is at the lunch bell/12:50 pm. It is about 25 minutes long. Except once when we were making a moving thing with wheels we were allowed as long as we want.

There are lots of different techniques like when we were doing the chains there were people doing lots of little parts of a chain and there were also people doing big parts of a chain. There are also challenges like you have to use only 1 piece of paper to make the chain or the car has to roll down a ramp. Like you can't just nail a bottle lid on because to make it roll you would need to roll it with your hand for it to move the wheels.

I enjoy the challenges.
